Wonderful performance of the Popper Hungarian Rhapsody! I love your obvious enjoyment of performing this beautiful piece. Your smile and playful interaction with the conductor and orchestra was a delight to see. I can imagine you standing on horseback in a gypsy circus jumping through a large hoop on the horse's back to this music. You look like you are having that much fun! I am the mother of a 16 year old cellist who is the principle cellist of her youth orchestra, the Golden Gate Philharmonic. Maggie is just beginning to learn this piece. My second major is composition. Many of my pieces have been performed in Russia, China, USA, Switzerland, Spain, Lithuania, England, Bulgaria, Singapore, Malaysia and Bermuda.
In August 05 I was asked to wrote a piece for 2 cellos and string orchestra for a concert at Verbier Festival.
I thought, maybe this would be interesting for You to listen to it.
My style is quite conservative, more romantic, nothing avant-garde.

dovolte mi se na začátku mého dopisu trochu představit. Jmenuji se Jan Niederle, jsem pianista, skladatel a dirigent.
Velice obdivuji Vaše violoncellové umění a domnívám se, že jste v současnosti nejlepším českým cellistou. Slyšel jsem nedávno na koncertě Vašeho Dona Quijotta – hrála jste fenomenálně. Je to velice obtížné dílo, především výrazově – je to učebnice moderní kompozice. Byl jsem uchvácen a ještě nyní slyším zvuk Vašeho cella. Velký umělec se pozná od prvních tónů – to jak jste zahrála začátek Quijotta jsem tak přesvědčivě ještě snad neslyšel. Máte skutečně velký talent a zanecháváte nesmazatelnou stopu na poli cellového nebe!
Moc se těším na Váš další koncert v Čechách.

Nahodou jsem nasla Vase webove stranky,
proto vyuzivam prilezitosti... Byla jsem na koncerte v Janackove divadle v Brne,
kde jste hrala Koncert od Saint Saense pro violoncello a orchestr, ktery se
shodou okolnosti ted ucim v hudebni skole. Bylo zvlastni slyset hru tak nadhernou,
ze posluchaci ani nedychaji, i krev mi se na chvili v zilach zastavila, zatimco
ja jsem vdecna za kazdy ton, ktery je spravny alespon intonacne. Proste jste
mi vzala dech a dala chut cvicit...

nalezl spojeni a neodolal jsem abych nenapsal par radku... Kdyz jsem si
jednou chtel udelat radost (jak uz ja to delavam) sel jsem do knihovny a
pujcil jsem si CD kde hrajete Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in
B minor, Op.104 od A. Dvoraka a byl jsem nadsen! Citil jsem se
jako znovuzrozeny, jako bych byl razem jiny clovek. Byl to opravdu
krasny pocit slyset tak krasnou skladbu v tak genealnim podani. I kdyz
vlaste hudbe nerozumim , mam ji velmi rad, ba co vice .. ja ji
zboznuji. Proto vam chci touto cestou co nejsrdecneji podekovat za vasi
praci, ktera vlastne neni praci v pravem slova smyslu .. nebot to je
spise umeni mezi nebem a zemi... Mejte se krasne a jeste mnoho takovych krasnych CD ...!
